Xiaomi Mi5 Release Date, Specification and Hardware Rumors Along With A Recently Posted Massive Score, More Details

Lately Xiaomi has been releasing a lot of smartphones and each of them is home run hitting devices. They already launched Redmi 2 and Redmi 2 Note this year and it seems they will be releasing two more devices in the near future: Xiaomi Mi5 and the Xiaomi Mi 4C. Earlier, it was reported that Xiaomi Mi5 would be released in July but in reality, we never really saw that.

After that, it was announced that the device will be released in August but this month will end soon and there are still no reports of any such possible arrivals. Right now, with reports of Xiaomi Mi 4C hitting the internet, it seems that the launch of Mi5 has been pushed further away.

According to Techgadgetsz, the Xiaomi Mi 4C, which has been named Xiaomi Libra, is a cheap variant of the Xiaomi Mi4 and it has further been spotted in TENAA, a Chinese Telecommunications Governing Body. As a result, people are wondering if Xiaomi Mi5 will be releasing before Mi 4C but right now, it seems rather unlikely.

The Xiaomi Mi 4C will come with an IPS Display of 5.0inches size and a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. It will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and Adreno 418 GPU. It will come with Android Lollipop 5.1.1 and will include a 13MP primary camera with Dual-Tone LED flash.

The device will sport a 5-megapixel camera on the front and will include 16GB internal memory and 2GB of RAM. It was further claimed by Techgadgetsz that this device will feature various connectivity options like 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi Direct, and GPS with A-GPS.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mi5 will have a 5.2inch QHD display with a high-resolution of 2560x1440pixels and it will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or an 820 processor.

It will come with 32/64GB internal storage options, 16MP primary camera, and 13MP front camera along with 4GB of RAM. In the beginning, Xiaomi was a completely unknown Chinese manufacturer but currently it is one of the world-renowned brands of the world. Right now, Xiaomi has decided to go back to its Mi range of smartphones.

Their latest smartphone in the making, Xiaomi Mi5, hasn’t been announced yet and the latest reports claim that this smartphone has made its way in AnTuTu’s benchmark. A further report by GSMArena indicates that this high-powered Android device has been recently tested on AnTuTu and the final score has been registered as 73,075 points.

According to the current comparison chart, the Mi5 appears to be more powerful than some of the most powerful handsets in the world like Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Meizu MX4 along with the higher-end variant of Asus Zenfone 2. At the same time, the current behemoths of the smartphone world, Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge scored just above 70k in AnTuTu.

Further, rumors indicate that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 flagship device will be running Snapdragon 820 chipset and these results in better performance, compared to the Exynos 7420 chipsets from Samsung.

There are other conflicting reports which suggest that this flagship device will be running a MediaTek Helio X20 processor with 10 functional cores. However, the certification page from TENAA indicates that this device will have eight cores of CPU. Besides the specifications that have already been mentioned, this device will have a USB-Type C port.

  1. As long as they retain the class leading stainless steel construction they pioneered on the Mi 4, I’ll probably end up getting the Mi 5. I wish other makes made phones this well.
