Xbox Two and PlayStation 5 Already Under Development, GTA 6 Could Release On PS5, More Details

PlayStation 4 from Sony and Xbox One from Microsoft both came out in 2013 and since then, it has been two years but speculations regarding their upcoming successors are already surfacing the internet. Crossmap reports that there has already been an indication that these new consoles have entered the development stage since last year.

According to the report, Attack of the Fanboy discovered a Job posting back in May. The posting shows that Sony is hiring game developers but according to the ad, the game is being made for the next generation of consoles.

Since then, the listing has been taken down. The job posting reads, “We have an exciting opportunity at Sony Computer Entertainment of America (PlayStation). We seek a senior game programmer to assist us in developing a game used for R&D purposes related to our next generation gaming system.

For someone passionate about gaming this is a very rare opportunity. After reviewing the below job profile, if this is you, please apply!” Sony is indeed working on the new PlayStation 5 if this particular ad is actually true. However, at the moment, there is yet to be any verification regarding how far the development team has progressed.

From the looks of it, it is likely that the development of the PlayStation 5 is in its early stages. According to previous reports, PlayStation 5 is expected to run on chipsets from AMD and on top of that, it could even feature a disc-less system.

How the company expects to make this possible is still quite unknown! However, it clearly means that games will have to be purchased digitally.

According to the latest batch of speculations, VR technology could be implemented in this console, making it an important part of the upcoming PS5. Now that the PlayStation 5 is under development, we can also expect that the next Xbox version is under development as well. Both of these consoles are expected to launch on or before 2020.

With that amount of time, their features can be greatly improved and current generation consoles can keep enjoying great sales figures. Meanwhile, Sony or Microsoft is yet to confirm the fact that they are indeed working on these consoles. However, Nintendo has already confirmed that they are working on the Nintendo NX, which is the successor to the Wii U.

There are loads of rumors online, suggesting that the upcoming PlayStation 5 console will be coming sooner than expected. In fact, it is being reported that the console could be released as early as 2017 or 2018. Exterior Look and Interior Hardware, both of these aspects will be highly improved in the upcoming PS5.

Meanwhile, 4K is all the rage right now. Therefore, you can expect that PlayStation 5 will come with 4K rendering support and it will enjoy smooth compatibility with Sony’s VR Tech, the PlayStation VR.

The platform could be entirely converted into cloud based storage and disc drives could be gone for good. It is expected that PlayStation 5 will run on a new as well as a more powerful Sony chipset. It is expected to be five times faster than the one currently present in the PlayStation 4.

When it comes to the exterior design, the new console will be thinner and sleeker at the same time. Also, according to certain reports, PlayStation 5 might be the last console in its series as the company might look for more advanced technology which will greatly enhance people’s gaming experience. According to N4BB, PlayStation 5 will be introduced in 2020 and a lot of PS5 supporting games will be released along with it.
