Wiz Khalifa: Walker Tribute Tops Charts, Reconciles With Amber Rose, And More

The Easter weekend gave a big boost to the sales of R&B and Hip Hop singles. Nine of the top ten tracks improved their performance compared to that of the previous week. The top slot was taken up by Wiz Khalifa.

Wiz Khalifa took the top spot for the first time in months and easily displaced Rihanna’s ‘Bitch Better Have My Honey’. Rihanna’s collaboration with Paul McCartney and Kanye West ‘Four Five Seconds’ reached its all time lowest, sitting in the sixth spot. The track lost its spot of last week’s despite seeing a sale of over 104,000 singles in only a week!

American rapper, Wiz Khalifa, gave a moving tribute to Paul Walker in a musical collaboration with pop singer Charlie Puth. The tribute to the late Fast and Furious actor is titled ‘See you again’.

The song has been successful in capturing the true essence of the late actor. Following his association with the Fast and Furious movie franchise, Walker was associated closely with street racing and cars. He will always be a part of the memory of the fans as Brian O’Conner, the law enforcement officer in the Fast and Furious.

Walker died in a tragic car accident in California, on December 2013. Wiz Khalifa, is widely known for his explicit lyrics, but for his tribute to Walker, he chose a fast moving tune, to depict the fast cars he was so familiar with and used lyrics that touches the heart.

‘See You Again’ was released on Youtube last week and it shows Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth, standing in front of the cars that have been used in the Fast and Furious movies and the song features clips of Walker’s O’Conner’s scenes from the movie.
