Winds Of Winter: Martin To Read Out A Chapter, Speculations Galo, And More

The release date of the much awaited sixth book of A Song of Ice and Fire series, Winds of Winter, is yet to be out. To keep his fans happy and to give them something to fill up in the meantime, writer George R.R. Martin has told his fans that he will give them a sneak-peek into what they can expect in ConQuest, to be held in Kansas City on the Memorial Day weekend.

Martin, in his blog, Not a Blog, has confirmed that he will be making an appearance at the event and will be reading a chapter from Winds of Winter! He has confirmed that he will read a chapter from the upcoming book and will talk about different aspects of the Ice and Fire series, but he has said that the main reason for his appearance will be to discuss his editor work for the series, Wild Cards.

It’s been a long wait for the fans since the release of the last book A Dance with Dragons, in 2011. According to Entertainment Weekly, the author feels that it is high time that the book is out and he is trying to speed up his writing. He has cut down on interviews and appearances so that he can be at his desk, writing Winds of Winter.

The fans of the series are urging the writer to publish the book before the HBO series Game of Thrones, based on Martin’s book series, comes out with its sixth season in the spring of next year. The fans feel that the series will spoil the whole suspense and that it is high time that the author was done with it.

With Martin still nowhere close to completing Winds of Winter, it is on the fans to speculate and talk about what might happen to the characters in the book. There are rumors that Jon Snow, who was elected as the Commander of the Night’s Watch in the fifth book, will be killed by his own men in Winds of Winter.
