Winds of Winter Delayed Again? George R. R. Martin Posts Chapters from the Novel On His Blog, Jon and Arya Might Get Romantically Involved!

The Winds of Winter is a forthcoming fantasy novel by George R. R. Martin. It will be the sixth novel in the epic fantasy series- A Song of Ice and Fire. Several rumors related to the novel that were doing rounds on the internet for some time, suggests that there might be a delay in its release date.

However, the latest reports state that Martin has almost completed all the chapters of the upcoming novel. It is a long anticipated novel and fans might soon be able to get their hands on it. Rumors have it that the book might be rolled out within the ongoing year.

However, even if the book is released within 2016, it is likely that it will hit the shelves during the ending days of the year. Assuming that Martin has completed writing the novel, the publishing company that will be printing and publishing it will take some time to proofread it.

Once the process is complete, the company will be able to decide on the final content that will be printed. So it is likely, that it will be some time before the fans of the series will be able to purchase the upcoming novel.

It has been seen in the recent past that Martin has been posting one or two chapters from the novel on his website. A chapter related to the character of Arianne Martell was posted by him on one instance and on another instance he posted a chapter related to Aeron Damphair Greyjoy.

This particular chapter will reportedly paint an extremely brutal picture of Aeron’s brother Euron Greyjoy. According to Martin, Euron will give Ramsay Bolton a run for his money when it comes to being sinister and brutal. This piece of information was revealed by Martin at the Balticon Convention.

This particular chapter has been titled- The Forsaken and it is reportedly written from the perspective of Aeron Greyjoy. It was reported that the chapter will incorporate a dark theme into the story which will turn out to be shocking for the fans.

The chapter depicts the story of Aeron who is tortured by his brother Euron. Apparently, he is being given some kind of hallucinogenic which is making him see his brother sitting on the Iron Throne. He also sees that the Gods are impaled on the swords of the Iron Throne. It is also revealed that Aeron was sexually harassed by Euron when he was a child.

Euron will admit to killing Balon and two of his brothers in the chapter. He will also be seen going up against an army of ships that have been sent by the Iron Throne. Apparently, he will tie hordes of priests to the front part of his ships. His brother too will be tied to a ship as a part of some kind of a ritual.

Just in the recent past it was reported that Martin was ill. This revelation came after the Baltimore Convention. Martin himself revealed on his website that he was feeling a bit under the weather after his trip.

He stated- “Great trip… but I seem to have brought the plague home with me. Some kind of con crud was going around at Balticon. … Coughing, fever, headache, congestion, more coughing. I got it too, albeit a milder case. … We’re all still under the weather, though recovering.”

He added that at the moment he was very tired and will not be able to talk about his novel. He went on to state that he will be taking fluids and sleeping a lot to get back his stamina. His followers sent him “get well soon” messages through social media. They also stated that they are eagerly waiting for his recovery as they would love to catch some more details about his novel before it is released.
