The parting shot of Damon and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) counting the bodies of their victims, in The Vampire Diaries Season 8 has shaken up the fans. The majority of the seasons of The Vampire Diaries is about one of the characters going towards the dark side and being brought in to the side of good by someone they share an emotional connection with.
In The Vampire Diaries Season 8, it looks like Stefan (Paul Wesley) is going to be the one to bring Damon back to the world of the good.
The last season had focused heavily on the relationship that the brothers shared, and it is a no brainer that the last season of The Vampire Diaries is going to see the two brothers patch things up.
Yahoo! TV has reported that since Elena is the one whose voice Damon hears before embarking on the dark side, might be instrumental in bringing back out as well. Julie Plec has already confirmed that Nina Dobrev had willingly recorded audios for the season finale of The Vampire Diaries Season 7, and there is a chance that she might do the same once again unless she is ready to come back for the series finale.
