Selena Maria Gomez is popularly known as an actress and a singer, with her first appearance on television being on the children’s television series Barney And Friends. The American actor and singer is a native of Texas: Grand Prairie to be precise. She was born on the 22nd of July 1992.
As a child, Selena lived with her mom who raised her as a single mother. She also had a close relationship with her grandparents because she spent most of her time with them while her parents tried to finish up their education. Her grandparents took care of her until she attained success in the entertainment world. Selena was always appearing in different beauty pageants as she grew up.

In 2010 the band released their second album and it was ranked at number 4 on the billboard top 200. In 2011 Selena starred in the movie Monte Carlo and she started dating Justin Bieber that year. The relationship lasted until 2014.
