Two New DLCs To Be Made Available For Dark Souls 3, Anticipated Release Date Set For August, More News And Updates

Fans of the action role-playing video game ‘Dark Souls III’ should be in a pretty good mood right now, as the developers of the game, Hidetaka Miyazaki, recently shared in an interview that their company is in the process of developing two expansions for the game.

Without a speck of doubt, Dark Souls 3 is the most anticipated game to be released this year. The title currently holds a rating of 9.5 out of 10 in IGN and also has a score of 89% score on Metacritic.

It was previously reported that the DLCs would be released in September. However, it was recently confirmed by the FromSoftware’s president that the game’s first expansion is scheduled to be released sometime later this month, i.e. in August, according to Ecunemical News.

Dark Souls 3 is the brain-child of FromSoftware, which is made available in the markets by a company called Bandai Namco Entertainment for platforms such as Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Dark Souls III has been at the top of the tally from December to June (in a tally list of Famitsu) for PlayStation 4. According to PlayStation Lifestyle, the game acquired the fifth spot with an eye-popping number of 313,000 copies being sold.

The first four places on the list went to 3DS games. Top spot on the list went to Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3. According to Game N Guide, it boasts a sale of 609,603 copies. Yo-Kai Sangokushi came at second place with 539,181 copies to its name. Along with them other names in the list included Monster Hunter Cross at third with 345,656, closely followed by Kirby:Planet Robot with 330,809 copies sold.

Recently a video was posted on Youtube by a user called Limit Breakers, according to Polygon. This video has received more than five hundred thousand views. It showcases a mod, which featured all of Dark Souls III textures, replaced with an image of a crab.

Later on, the Youtube user followed up with more mods on the original video, backed by requests from viewers.

It has been a great year for Dark Souls III, they have become the best-selling game in Japan for PlayStation 4 this year.  Dark Souls 3 was released in Japan on March 24th before it was released internationally on the 12th of April.

There are rumors going around about the game Dark Souls 3 having multiple endings. In an interview when Hidetaka Miyazaki was asked about the different endings of the game or if the game might have a single true ending, he replied by saying that he has an ending in his mind.

Further, he made it clear that not only does he have an ending in mind, but in fact he has four different endings in his mind. However as of yet he can’t say which one he might select.

For Miyazaki, all four endings including the gameplay are a priceless part of the story that the gamers experience. The president of FromSoftware told Kotaku that apart from working on the expansions or DLCs for Dark Souls, he also is involved with Bloodborne. He is very busy with all these projects at the moment, and he is glad to have had worked in each of them.

On being asked about the expansions, Miyazaki stated that he was afraid he couldn’t provide any information without ruining the surprise. The only thing that he stated he was allowed to divulge was that they were planning to release two DLCs for Dark Souls. He further stated the first of the DLC is scheduled to be released in the autumn of 2016, while the other will possibly be released early in 2017.
