Transformers 5: To Receive $21 Million State Incentive to Film in Detroit, Producers Currently On the Lookout for Extras!

As for the main cast of the film, it has been confirmed that Mark Wahlberg will be back to reprise his role of Cade Yeager from Transformers: Age of Extinction. The character of Cade Yeager was portrayed as an inventor in the previous movie. He was the one who repaired Optimus Prime after he was damaged.

Michael Bay, who has directed all the Transformers movies till date will helm the director’s chair for one last time for a Transformers movie with Transformers 5. The screenplay of the film will be written by AkivaGoldsman.

Renowned voice actor Peter Cullen, who has been the voice of Optimus Prime since the first movie will lend his voice once again to the gigantic robot for the upcoming movie.

The film is scheduled to hit the big screen on June 23, 2017.

Various rumors are doing rounds on the internet regarding the possible villain of the movie. The name Unicron has been floating around a lot recently. It is a gigantic robot that draws energy from planets, destroying them in the process. It is being rumored that this robot might be the main antagonist of the upcoming film.

However, there has been no confirmation as of yet from any official sources in this regard.
