If this happens, the next transformer won’t be a direct sequel. Instead, it will be a unique installment in the epic Transformers franchise. Speculations also suggest that the franchise will be rebooted through its fifth installment, which somewhat changes the setting. It means that producers are currently aiming for a restoration of the franchise with only robots and no humans. Producers are probably trying to remove all traces of human existence if these rumors turn out to be true.
A lot of details have already been established in the last four films. If the makers wanted to go for a reboot, now is the time to do so. If the entire film is done as CGI, it will feature both advantages and disadvantages. In the end, it will end up providing a lot of creative freedom in the development of this film and upcoming sequels in this franchise. However, voice actors will be needed as always. As a result, we might hear similar voices in the end but nothing, which guarantees a decision to start over from scratch. Ultimately, it could end up being an idea that goes nowhere.
