There were speculations that Transformers 5 will see Optimus Prime heading to space to confront the Quintessons and it seems like Akiva Goldsman and his team has finally zeroed down on the plot for the upcoming film from the franchise.

The fifth installment of Transformers will see Optimus Prime heading to spade in one of the plots, where he is going to confront his creator and try to find answers for their decision to attack Earth and wipe out humanity.

The second plot will be based on Earth and will follow Cade Yeager, played by Mark Wahlberg as Ultra Magnus, Optimus Prime’s second-in-command. They are set to team up with other Autobots and Dinobots in a bid to save Earth from powerful forces.

Fans of Transformers are going to be very happy to find out that the plot involving Unicron is likely to become a reality. Christian Post has reported that Ehren Kruger, one of the writers in the writers’ room, working under the supervision of celebrated scriptwriter, Akiva Goldsman, is pushing for the inclusion of Unicron in the upcoming movie.

Kruger is very keen on the idea, but he is aware of the drawbacks of this plan as well. Kruger reportedly informed The Huffington Post that Unicron is a huge transformer planet and the sheer size of it, is not an easy task to create.

The writers will also have to come up with a good story that will justify its inclusion in Transformers 5. The characters and the mythology behind it with respect to the history of the franchise, has to be perfect for the fans to believe its presence in the film.

The size of the transformers planet isn’t hard to depict on screen, with the kind f technological aid that are available these days, but the planet has to be visualized and depicted in the manner that will make it interesting onscreen.

Apart from the plot of the Transformers 5, there is news that has come in from the Paramount Pictures. It seems like the team of writers for Transformer 5 is going to work on a spinoff from the franchise. The rumored film is going to be an animated one and will be based on Cybertron.

Deadline has reported that this film on Cybertron is going to be written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari. With the script for Transformer 5 ready, there is no reason to wait for the pre-production work to begin, but things still look a little shaky in the directorial front.

It was confirmed by Mark Wahlberg that Michael Bay is going to be a part of the project, when he told in interviews that after coming from his schedule in Benghazi, he will sit with Bay to talk about the upcoming Transformers film.

However, Michael Bay has posted on Twitter that he is still talking to Spielberg and that nothing has been confirmed as of now. According to USA Today, Michael Bay isn’t keen on coming back to direct another Transformers film.

He has said that he has other plans and wants to start on a new chapter, with new films to direct. The director has a lot of plans and they are very different from things that he has already done previously.
