Transformers 5: Akira Goldman Leads The Writer’s Team, Paramount Planning A Crossover, And More Details!

Transformers fans can heave a sigh of relief because there is some news about the franchise, after months of speculation. There has been a lot of uncertainty over Transformers 5 and no official statement to clear the doubts.

Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner was finally contacted and he has said that there are several writers being hired, including Akiva Goldsman. He will lead a team of writers who will create the world for the next movie. He feels that there is a lot of scope for the franchise to be developed. There are several plot lines and mythology associated with the Transformers that is not yet tapped. Goldner has said that Transformers 5 can be expected sometime around 2017.

This statement by Goldner has excited the fans and they are now trying to figure out what could be the possible plot for the next story. Some claim that there is a possibility of including another universe into the plot of Transformers 5. There are talks about creating a Transformers film with crossover from G.I.Joe.

Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura is not giving out any information about Transformers 5. Mark Wahlberg had said in December 2014 that he can’t wait to get back on sets and this had excited the fans that the filming for Transformers 5 will start soon, but four months later, things have not progressed. There were talks that Michael Bay will return in the director’s chair, but there hasn’t been any official confirmation on this news.

With Marvel raking in fortune with it concept of shared universe, Paramount wants to cash in it as well. It is said that the writer’s room in Paramount with producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura and executive producer Steven Spielberg there are some major talks about crossover ideas and spin-offs.
