The trailer reminds the viewers of some parts of The Revenant, since like Leonardo DiCaprio. Ewan McGregor is going to spend the major chunk of the film alone and he will spend a lot of it talking to himself.
The 40 days in desert will see two distinct sides of his character come out. On one side he will think like the prophet Jesus and on the other it will be like Satan that he will be acting and behaving.
The movie is set to release on 13th May. Last Days in the Desert has already been screened at the Sundance Film Festival 2015 and it has garnered a lot of positive reviews. There should be special mention of McGregor’s acting prowess as well as the brilliant cinematography of Emmanuel Lubezki, who brings the desert’s haunting landscape to life.
After Sundance Film Festival, Last Days in the Desert was picked up by Broad Green Pictures and it was taken to the AFI Festival last year where it was also showered with rave reviews.
