Trailer for Mr. Robot Season 2 Released, Shows President Barack Obama in A Cameo!

Mr. Robot Season 1 was an unprecedented success and now all eyes are on the next season. USA Network had previously released snippets of the trailer for Mr. Robot Season 2 and now it has released the complete trailer much to the delight of the fans. There are just a couple of months before the release of the second season and fans are excited to find out what’s in store.

Mr.Robot Season 1 saw Elliot Anderson (Remi Malek) successfully carry out a hacking of the financial system of Evil Corp and cause the world to descend into an economic chaos. Elliot wakes up three days after the hacktivist group fsociety had carried out the successful attack and he has no memory of what had happened.

The trailer for Season 2 of Mr. Robot deals with the night after the attack on Evil Corp by the fsociety. The fact that Elliot has no idea about where he was and what he was doing during the three days that it took to hack the system of Evil Corp, hints at a problem.

Elliot has been bordering on disillusionment for a while now and while this memory loss is common to him, fans can get a foreboding that things are going to get bad.

With Elliot not remembering anything about the last three days, there are chances that he might get into trouble. The government has stepped in to take control of the situation and find out the hackers who were responsible for plunging the world into financial problem.

The trailer for Mr. Robot Season 2, even has President Barack Obama in it. The footage is from an actual news bulletin and shows Barack Obama stating that something like this has never happened in the past.

Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) who played the role of Elliot’s father, returns in Mr. Robot Season 2. He asks Elliot whether he remembers what had happened on the night of the hacking.

The viewers see from the trailer that the second season is going to be a really dark one. Sam Esmail, the creator of Mr. Robot had already informed the fans at the New York Comic Con that the series is going to get darker and better in the coming season and the trailer makes it evident that they have lived to their promise.

Sam Esmail is very close to the story that is being told in Mr. Robot Season 2 and he has decided to write each of the ten episodes on his own. He feels that no one else can do justice to the story of Elliot Anderson the way he can and hence has decided to work on the script completely alone.

During the Television Critics Association press tour, Sam Esmail had made it very clear that he will not introduce twists and suspense into the script unless it comes naturally.

The finale of Mr. Robot Season 1 had shown the viewers that the character of Mr. Robot, who happens to be Elliot’s father, is in fact a figment of his imagination. Given that the story will start from this very point in Season 2 of Mr. Robot, the fans can expect the creator to delve deeper into Elliot’s childhood and past.

Elliot was subjected to abuse since a very young age and he missed his father, whose presence is always associated with a happy home. He was naturally drawn to Angela (Portia Doubleday) since she was brought up by her loving father, something that Elliot dearly missed.
