Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege to Receive More Country-Based DLCs in the Ongoing Year, Us-Themed DLC to Release On April 14? Let’s See

The Operation Black Ice expansion pack for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege recently was rolled out by Ubisoft. It is a Canada based DLC which brought forth two brand new Canadian operators to the game.

Apart from the Canadian Operators it also brought a new map and some new skins for weapons to the game. The spectator camera which is quite common in online multiplayer games but was missing from Rainbow Six Siege was also introduced t it by the update.

As for the two Canadian operators that were introduced by the update, they are Buck and Frost. They possess different skill sets and weapons. Buck is more of an attacker and defense is the specialty of Frost.

The weapon that is wielded by Buck is a hybrid of shotgun and rifle and is quite powerful. However, Frost is more of a traps kind of guy who comes equipped with a leg trap.

The weapon skins that are added to the game via the update include the JTF-2 skin, the USA winter camo skin and the Dwyer hill skin.

That apart, a brand new map which is basically a crashed yacht is also incorporated into the game via the update. The yacht becomes the center of firefight when a mysterious submarine is seen docking up beside it.

It has been revealed by Ubisoft that they are planning to release a number of other DLCs for the game within the ongoing year. Each of these expansion packs will be themed on a separate country with the first one being themed on the US.

The US-themed DLC will become available for download in the second quarter of the ongoing year. As for the next one, it will be themed on Brazil. The Brazil-themed DLC will be released during the third quarter of 2016.

The last one for the year, which will have a Japanese theme will be released during the fourth quarter of the year.

An image depicting the different-themed DLCs and their corresponding release dates was also released by Ubisoft.

However, the specific release dates for these expansion packs is yet to be announced by the developers.

Ubisoft recently came forward with an announcement in which it stated- “Our vision was not a game that you’d play through and ‘beat,’ but something you’d regularly come back to. In order to do that, we’ll be actively supporting ‘Rainbow Six Siege’ with gameplay balancing and tweaks (plus detailed patch notes), events and competitions, and four major content releases with no paywall on gameplay content,”

With the last month of the first quarter of the ongoing year about to begin, speculations are rife that the US based DLC will be released in the month of April. Fans can expect that similar to the Canada based DLC, the US based one will too bring some new operators, weapon skins and maps.

Some hardcore fans of the game have been reportedly able to discover some clues regarding a date which they claim could be the date on which the next DLC is rolled out. The date in question is April 14th.

Apparently, a number of calendars scattered across the various maps of the game were found by gamers. The common thing about these calendars was the fact that on all of them the April 14 date was marked.

This has sparked speculations that Ubisoft has planned something big for that day. A possible release of the US-based DLC on that day is also on the cards at the moment.
