During an interview with Empire Magazine last year, Jared Leto declared that he underwent a period of detachment while playing this role. He described the process as painful, comparing it to ‘giving birth out of my prick-hole’.
Leto said, “I took a pretty deep dive. But this was a unique opportunity and I couldn’t imagine doing it another way. It was fun, playing those psychological games.”
