The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Will Soon Receive a Game of the Year Edition; Geralt’s New Vinyl Figure Looks Quite Perfect!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is receiving a Game of the Year edition, and reports suggest that it will release by 30th August. The precise date of this release is yet to be confirmed, but the CD Projekt Development Team said that they are currently working on such a Witcher 3 build.

People first started talking about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game of the Year Edition when a Twitter user named life lower found an entry for it in a German database designed for rating games. It was in fact listed as ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game of the Year Edition’ for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

After this leak, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz said that they do have plans to release such an edition. It was also added that they would release more details shortly.

We don’t exactly know what this edition will contain but according to the convention, the package will include the full version of Witcher 3, along with all the paid and free DLCs, compiled in a single disc.

This will include two major expansions called, ‘Blood and Wine’ and ‘Hearts of Stone.’ Both of them amount to 45 extra hours of quests and missions, besides the lengthy single-player campaign.

CD Projekt said that release date details would be announced later, but speculations from GOG Germany suggest that the game will release on 30th August. If the listing is accurate, Witcher 3 GOTY Edition will be on shelves by 30th of next month. That is quite exceptional, because it’s on Tuesday, and it doesn’t seem to be a placeholder.

It sounds entirely plausible since US Retail releases usually happen on Tuesdays and Witcher 3 expansions were released then as well. However, the details are yet to be officially confirmed, so you better take all of it with a grain of salt.

Before the release of Blood and Wine, various foreign sites issued wrong details and the same could happen in this case. After the release of Blood and Wine, CD Projekt introduced a few patches to remove all existing bugs in the game. The studio will now focus on Gwent and Cyberpunk 2077.

In other news, Geralt from Witcher 3 has many qualities. He is a lover, advisor, monster slayer, hero, sword for hire and much more. However, thanks to Jinx, Geralt is now a stylish and collectible vinyl figure as well. Earlier this year, people who pre-ordered the figure should soon start receiving their figures.

They are expected to ship out during the July 27 week. Geralt’s vinyl figure has a look, taken from the armor he wears during the beginning of the game. It is the same armor that is seen in many game trailers.

The figure has a trademark scar running across his eye and the left side of his forehead. He has two swords, Silver for monsters and Steel for humans.

He has yellow cat eyes and carries a crossbow as well. Just like the real Geralt, the hair is pulled back to form a ponytail, and they didn’t miss out on the wolf medallion either.

The left hand is fully open, but the right-hand’s grip looks like a sword would comfortably fit inside it. The most striking feature of this figure is that both the swords are removable. They are both distinct and can be placed in Geralt’s right hand. He can only pinch the sword hilt between his index finger and thumb, but it is held securely and doesn’t shake at all.
