The Vampire Diaries has taken on an interesting turn with Caroline (Candice Accola) deciding to turn off her humanity. Yes, you read that right! In the aftermath to her mother’s death and Stefan’s supposed rejection, Caroline has decided that she will turn off her human side. When she stops feeling any emotion, she will not feel hurt. This creates ample potential for her to cause devastation in Mystic Falls, but for that we have to wait and watch as the series unfolds.
Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will be willing to lend a helping hand to Caroline. Somerhalder, who is on the director’s chair, this time reported that Damon, as we all know is not that simple a character and there is more to his action. He is desperately trying to help Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) and by helping Caroline he is extending his help to the other two.
The Salvatore brothers, Damon and Stefan, have their plates full this time. They not only have the Caroline crisis at hand, but are also going to find out what had happened to their mother in the past. With Annie Wersching making an appearance in the upcoming episodes, Season 6 of The Vampire Diaries will deal with her story closely. We find out more about her character, Lily, and the subsequent effect she has on the plot.
With Caroline going through a rough patch, things get a little messy with Stefan in Season 6. Caroline’s certain that she will not become a vampire who craves blood, but there is a high chance of her failing. If Caroline fails, Stefan will suffer the consequences. He will be guilt ridden and will be forced to take some important decisions. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Executive Producer, Julie Plec said that Stefan will hold himself responsible for what’s happening with Caroline and he will not be able to carry on with this guilt.
