The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Giudice Opens Up About Prison, Old Housewives Returning for Season 7!

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice used her prison time to get into shape. She was off carbs and hence had no issue with the cooks finding maggots beside the rice in the prison kitchen.

After ending her term in the Dansbury prison, Teresa Giudice sat down to have a chat with PEOPLE and she informed them that she had worked out exactly how she would manage her life in prison.

PEOPLE reported that Teresa Giudice confessed to how difficult to was to maintain her diet while in prison. She would usually have bran cereal or oatmeal in the morning while she had to either choose between tacos and hot dogs. The menu occasionally had salad, but that would happen rarely.

Apart from eating healthy and keeping a check on her carbs, Teresa also worked out regularly. She did yoga in the morning and she chose her afternoon workout based on the season.

In the winter, she would usually hit the gym while in the summer and springtime she would either walk or run along the track. To help her work out in the gym, Teresa Giudice used Bob Harper and Jillian Michael’s workout videos.

Teresa Giudice is very pleased with the way she could turn her time in prison to get into shape and get healthy. She said that she would frequently participate in the fitness classes that would be offered at prison and was very proud of the fact that she could manage to do a plank for more than 9 minutes.

Teresa served in prison for 11 months after she was found guilty for several fraud cases. The mom of four, instead of bringing in all the negativity, had decided to use the term to make her life better and improve her lifestyle and health. Teresa had dropped to a size 2 by the time she was out of prison and she looked beautiful.

However, the prison term for Teresa Giudice wasn’t always rosy. She confessed to NBC that the time she had to spend in the Danbury Federal Correctional Institution was like living in hell.

She spoke about how there were molds in the bathrooms and they hardly ever had running water. Things were worse in the winter months because they didn’t have heating and the water in the shower would be freezing cold.

With the popularity of the series Orange is the New Black, fans are already aware of how a women’s prison function, Teresa Giudice is going to publish her story about life in prison in the book Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again.

Giudice had even worked in the prison kitchen and had to wipe down tables three times a day after every meal. She said while prison time was nothing like being on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but the inmates living there are very similar to the housewives since they are always on the lookout for gossip and drama.

Bravo is bringing Teresa Giudice back on their The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The first moment when she is back and reunited with her husband Joe Giudice and four children is going to be shown in the series.

The Giudice family had a tearful reunion. The family was together for the New Years and celebrated it together, but now they have to gear up for Joe Giudice to head to prison to serve his sentence.

Christian Post has reported that the seventh season of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey is going to be a rollercoaster ride of emotion and drama. The Giudice family will see both husband and wife serve time in prison.
