The Legend of Zelda Wii U is an upcoming action adventure game that is being developed by Nintendo. It is going to be the first original Legend of Zelda game to feature high-definition resolution. It is the nineteenth game in the main The Legend of Zelda series.

Fans of the series are in for some good news as the latest reports suggest that Nintendo will be unveiling the game at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo event which is scheduled for June 14. It will continue till June 16 and will be held in Los Angeles, California.

Apparently, the game will be introduced by Nintendo on the very first day of the event. It was previously announced by Nintendo that The Legend of Zelda Wii U will be only game that the company will showcase at the event. However, the latest reports suggest otherwise.

Some other games will also be unveiled by Nintendo at the upcoming event. The list of other games that will be showed off at the event by Nintendo includes the likes of Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past for the 3DS, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE for the Wii U and Monster Hunter Generations for the 3DS.

It has also come to light that Nintendo will be unveiling the above mentioned games on the second day of the event. The first day will be reserved for The Legend of Zelda Wii U only. An extended 90-minute demo of the game will also be dropped by Nintendo at the event.

That apart a lucky 500 fans will be able to take part in the beta testing of the game that will take place from June 14 through June 19. Fans will have to register themselves in order to take part on the beta testing.

To do so they will have to head over to the Nintendo NY event which is scheduled to be held on June 11. The event has been titled- “Super Fan Sign Up Day”. Registrations will kick off at 7 AM ET and it will be done on a first come fist server basis. The process will come to an end when 500 fans have registered themselves for the beta testing.

Fans will be able to get a taste of the game even before its release by playing its demo version during the six-day event in New York. The demo version will be available for playing after the Nintendo Treehouse: Live Streaming at the E3 comes to an end at 3 PM ET. Unlucky fans who will not be able to register themselves for the demo will be able to check out some guided demonstrations of the game.

A particular rumor related to the game that is doing rounds on the internet states that the developers have delayed the game deliberately. The reason behind this could be accounted to the fact that the developers want to launch the game alongside the new Nintendo NX console.

As far as the Nintendo NX is concerned, rumors have it that Nintendo wants to make the device VR compatible and thus there has been a delay in its release. Virtual Reality is fast becoming popular in the world of gaming and it seems logical that Nintendo wants to incorporate it into the upcoming console so that it does not lag behind when compared to other modern consoles.

Nintendo is yet to come forward with a specific release date for the Nintendo NX console. However, several reports indicate that the console might hit the market in March 2017. Now, if Nintendo does want to release The Legend of Zelda along with the new console, then it is unlikely that fans will be able to get their hands on the game before March 2017.
