There were complaints the first two seasons of The Leftovers was rather grim and dark and this is something that the writers are working on. They have tried to infuse some humor into the third season of The Leftovers Season 3.
As for what plot the third season will deal with, Lindelof has informed that he wants to move away from the on dealing with Tom and his spirituality and tussle with immortality.
He said that they will now focus on other aspects showing that Tom’s nightmares where the cause of a traumatic past and he has been able to get a control on them because he has come to terms with the past and the incidents in it.
According to Youth Health Magazine, the upcoming season of The Leftovers has nothing fixed as of now. The confirmation for the third season has only been issued by HBO. There are constant rumors that the cast and the location for the shoot is being changed as and when the storyline is being developed.
With talks about The Leftovers Season 3 going on, there are no official news on when the production for the upcoming season is going to start. Fans are patiently awaiting that news.
