Super Smash Bros. Melee Will Be an Excellent Game at Evo 2016; SSB Gamers Need to Check out China’s New Rip-Off Title!

From the looks of it, Capcom will continue to dominate the upcoming Evo 2016 tournament, which will take place in Las Vegas from 15th to 17th July. Till mid-April, 4000 gamers signed up for Street Fighter 5, Capcom’s latest fighting game.

SF5 is probably the most popular game in this year’s Evo but the second spot will feature a hardcore battle between Nintendo Wii U’s Super Smash Bros and ‘Marvel vs. Capcom 3’.

Till the first week of June, more than 2000 Wii U gamers of Super Smash Bros have registered for the Evo 2016 tournament. Last year, Super Smash Bros generated a 1900-players turnout. Super Smash Bros. Melee also generated a lot of gamer-participants.

The minimum overlap between these two games is just 16%, but more than 3000 competitors participate in these two titles. It means that among the 3000 participating players, 480 competed in both these games. The best in this franchise is undoubtedly Super Smash Bros Melee, which has been used in tournaments from early 2000.

In other news, the new Nintendo NX console will release in March 2017, but the unveiling will take place earlier in September this year. The much-awaited hybrid gaming machine skipped E3 this year but within a few months’ time, this game will start taking a solid shape.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, it makes sense since Nintendo is supposed to hold off on its first official announcement as they are waiting on the confirmed titles that will support this console.

Stay tuned for more Super Smash Bros. updates!
