Super Smash Bros 4: Cloud Strife DLC Released, Two Brand New Characters Announced for The Game, Upcoming DLC Going to Be the Final One!

Super Smash Bros 4 has been one of the bestselling games from the house of Nintendo and its popularity was proven once again when it recently managed to bag the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Video Game.

Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS was able to edge past other nominees that included the likes of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare from Activision, Minecraft from Mojang, Batman: Arkham Knight from Rocksteady and Grand Theft Auto V from Rockstar to emerge victorious in the category.

The reason for it still being popular after two years of its release could be accounted to the fact that the developers have been successful in maintaining the standard of the game over the years, even after the release of a number of DLCs and updates.

The game was released for the platforms of Nintendo 3DS and Wii U in September 2015 and reportedly more than 10 million copies of it has been sold throughout the world since it made its debut.

The People’s Choice Award was originally created for awarding celebrities, films and TV shows. The category of video games was added to the event in the recent past.

The last DLC that was released for Super Smash Bros 4 brought about several new additions to the game which included the Final Fantasy VII famed character Cloud Strife.

The addition of Cloud Strife was happily welcomed by fans as it is one of the most popular characters in the present world of games. At the same time, its inclusion in the game cams as a surprise to some fans as it was the first instance that a Final Fantasy character set foot in the world of Super Smash Bros 4.

Masahiro Sakurai, the Director of the game had earlier stated that Cloud Strife featured in the list of characters which were most requested by fans to be added to the game.

In the recent Nintendo Broadcast that was held in December of the previous year, two more characters were revealed that are going to be added to the game through a future DLC.

These two characters will be the last ones to make it to the Super Smash Bros 4 roster and the DLC that will bring them will reportedly be the final one for the game. These characters that are set to zoom into the world of Super Smash Bros 4 are Bayonetta from the Bayonetta game and Corrin from Fire Emblem.

Two costumes for Bayonetta will be added to the game alongside the character itself and these costumes are going to be the ones that the character sported in Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2. Apparently, another additional costume which is reportedly a Jeanne colored variant is also going to be added to the game through the DLC.

Bayonetta will pack a lot of guns and players will be able to use these guns to attack enemies while playing with this character. A special ability of this character which is being called Witch Time will allow players to slow down the movements of their opponents and then take them down with ease.

Corrin is going to be the latest addition to the long list of Fire Emblem characters that are already present in the roster of the game.

This fact was acknowledged even by Masahiro Sakurai who stated that there are already a lot of Fire Emblem characters in the game. Nevertheless, Corrin is set to take the world of Super Smash Bros 4 by storm when it makes its debut in the game through the upcoming DLC.

The Fire Emblem characters that are already a part of Super Smash Bros 4 are- Lucina, Marth, Ike and the two versions of Robin.
