Star Wars fans have a reason to rejoice! The famous John Williams theme music will be playing in theatres again this December. Lucasfilm and Disney that had collaborated on Star Wars: The Force Awakens haven’t yet decided where the premiere for the film will take place yet, but they have narrowed down on the dates for it.

Star Wars: The Forces Awakens is going to premiere on the 14th of December, while the show begins for the rest of the world on 18th of December. There still isn’t any confirmation about whether the tickets for the premiere will be available to the general public.

With the release date of the much anticipated film of the year coming near, the production house will do all it can to keep any news about the film under wraps. However, director JJ Abrams has offered quite a few insights about Star Wars: The Force Awakens thanks to the Comic-Cons where the trailers and the behind-the-scene video was released.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is going to see the return of the characters who were there in the films directed by George Lucas, like Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Pete Mayhew,Carrie Fisher and Anthony Daniels. The new cast who will take the story forward in Star Wars: The Force Awakens include Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall Gleeson, and Lupita Nyong’o to name a few.

Avid fans of Star Wars have deduced that since the original Star Wars, now called Star Wars Episode IV: New Hope had premiered in the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood way back in 1977. Since then the other films had premiered in Mann Village Theatre and the Egyptian theatre. In keeping with the tradition, there are rumors that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is going to have its US premiere in one of these theatres.

Star Wars has always been a film that attracted a large number of followers across generation and the franchise being brought to life again by J. J. Abrams, is an important event for the Star Wars fandom. They have also found out that with Attack of the Clones running for 142 minutes and The Phantom Menace for 139 minutes, the upcoming film is the third longest film in the history of the franchise.

With Star Wars: The Force Awakens set to premiere in two months, the creators of The Star Wars Battlefront are looking to bring out the game by mid-November to take advantage of the hype surrounding the movie.

The game is a first and third person shooter game that is based on the world created by George Lucas in his popular Star Wars franchise. The players can choose between the two warring parties in any of the episodes from the movie.

The first version of the game was released in 2004, but EA collaborated with Dice to make the game resemble the upcoming movie. The Star Wars Battlefront that is going to be released in November has an official tie-up with Lucasfilms and also has narrative tie-ins for the gameplay.

Players who pre-order the Star Wars Battlefront will be able to get access to a special downloadable version of the game called Battle of Jakku that will be shown for the first time in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

There is a very iconic scene in the franchise where a huge Star Destroyer is half buried in the Jakku sands. The battle of Jakku that was fought between the New Republic and the important Imperial strong holds will explain how the Destroyer landed in those sands.
