Sony Xperia X Lineup Announced by Sony, Tech Sheet of the Respective Devices Revealed, And More

A brand new lineup of flagship smartphones was recently launched by Sony and it has been named- Sony Xperia X. Apparently, this series will replace the already existent Xperia Z lineup. The Z lineup has been in the market for quite some time now and the smartphones of the series have become quite popular among users.

The announcement for the X series was made at the Mobile World Congress which was held in Barcelona in the previous month. The series will feature three smartphones which are the Xperia X, the Xperia X Performance and the Xperia XA.

The latest reports indicate that the Xperia X will become available for purchase sometime during the month of June. No specific details regarding the availability of the Xperia X Performance and the Xperia XA are available as of yet.

However, it was reported that the Xperia X Performance will come with better features and technical aspects compared to the X and the XA. The X Performance will sport a 5-inch full-HD display which has a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch.

It has a IP68 certificate in to show off for its dust and water resistant features. The X Performance is water resistant upto 1.5m or a period of 30 minutes. It should be noted here that the other two devices, that is the XA and the X are not dust and water resistant.

The display is on the device is triluminous in nature and it features X-reality engines. A Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm is built into the device and it is combined with 3GB of Ram. An Adreno 530GPU is also built into the device to handle the graphics department.

It has 32GB of inbuilt memory which can be further expanded upto 2TB using an external microSD card in the microSD card slot of the device.

In the camera department, the device boasts an impressive 23-megapixel one on its backside along with a 13-megapixel one on its front, the rear camera is accompanied with a LED flash to enable photography under low-light conditions.

The primary camera of the device is capable of capturing excellent quality images and shooting full-HD videos at a frame rate of 30FPS.

It runs on the latest Android 6.0.1 Android Marshmallow and is powered by a 2700mAH battery which keeps it alive for a significant amount of time. a fingerprint sensor is also built into it for added security.

As for the Sony Xperia X, the device comes with the same 5-inch full-HD display with a pixel density of 441ppi. The device is visually quite attractive and it weighs in at 153g. It will be available in 4 variants based on its color which are- Rose Gold, Graphite Black, White and Lime Gold.

Unlike the X Performance, the X runs on a Snapdragon 650 processor from Qualcomm. However, the amount of RAM on the device is same that of the X performance, that is 3GB. To handle graphics, an Adreno 510 GPU is also built into it.

Two variants of the device based on its inbuilt storage space will be available and these are the 32Gb variant and the 64GB variant. Similar to the X Performance, the storage space on the X could be expanded up to 2TB using an external microSD card.

It too features a 23-megapixel camera on its back along with a 13-megapixel front snapper. LED flash is built on the back side too. A feature called the Predictive Hybrid Autofocus is accompanied with the camera. This feature lets the user select a specific subject. Doing so will enable the camera to predict the movement of the subject and also follow it.
