Sister Wives Season 6: Meri Rumored to Move Out, Legal Battles Ensue!

Even with Sister Wives Season 6 months away, the fans are already speculating that when the show returns, Meri Barber will not be a part of it. Meri had decided to divorce her husband Kody Brown after 25 years of marriage.

The decision to go for a divorce was so that Meri’s sister Robyn Sullivan could get the opportunity to marry Kody Brown and get legal custody for her three children from the previous marriage.

In order to get custody of the children, Kody had to marry Robyn formally. Meri was kind enough to step down as the only legal wife in the polygamous household to let Robyn enjoy the legal protection.

Sister Wives Season 6 will see a nasty court drama ensuing between Robyn and her ex-husband, who is not ready to step down as far as the custody rights over the kids are concerned. Being married to Kody will give Robyn and her kids a protection and it will help her get the legal rights over her kids instead of her ex-husband.

There are new rumors surfacing that Meri Brown’s decision to end her successful marriage was because she was tired of the polygamous set up. She was the only legal wife of Kody Brown, but she wanted to try out monogamous relationship and hence took the decision to start a new life.

On the 25th anniversary, where fans and well-wishers were congratulating her, Meri Brown kept away from her social media account. She didn’t even respond to Kody’s post talking about wanting to spend 25 more years with Meri. By the looks of it, Meri doesn’t seem to be sharing Kody’s sentiments.

She has recently taken to post statuses about signs and dreams in her Twitter account, which has led fans to speculate that she isn’t going to return to the household to uphold a spiritual marriage with her husband.

With her eighteen year old daughter away in college, it looks like Meri is focusing on completely her education and achieving the dreams and aspirations that she has yet to fulfil in her life. She had also posted about every woman needing a good man, which raised quite a few eyebrows.

Sister Wives has been renewed by TLC for the sixth season and fans will have to wait for the season to start in the fall to get all their answers. Sister Wives has always been controversial because of its depiction of polygamy, which is illegal.

  1. Polygamy is a beautiful way to live, if there is fairness and equality for each and every woman. In practice such a balanced state of marriage is often not achieved, with some women sidelined and feeling less appreciated. Being not important or less than, is a sad and terrible place in a Polygamist family. Self esteem can be lost and flowery words can not fix the central problems.

  2. Not suprised. Anyone who’s seen the show can easily see that no one there is happy. They have even stated that they are barely closer than neighbours. Relationships are hard enough between two people. These women need to develop better self esteem and leave that jerk. No woman should settle for being treated like that. Disgusting.

  3. When one looks into the eyes of someone who’s just had some variety of sex with their husband, it must be very uncomfortable and even embarrassing. All the inter-sexual relationships probably does not have a calming effect on the hearts and minds of the women involved. A healthy and happy mental state would be difficult to maintain.

All the inter-sexual relationships probably does not have a calming effect on the hearts and minds of the women involved. A healthy and happy mental state would be difficult to maintain. Unless there is complete fairness and equality, the whole house of cards can tumble. It can be beautiful or a ugly jealous messy situation with one or more feeling short changed and not equally loved and respected.

  5. I am praying for you to leave, Meri. You’re still young enough to create a brand new, happy and fulfilling life with a man who won’t share his love and time with anyone but you. You deserve more.

  6. Meri, with her tapes proclaiming her love for someone other than Kody, has crushed any masculine thoughts Kody had left in his fragile self esteem. The statement about five and a quarter was hurtful to whatever ego he had left. Five inches long and as big in circumstance as a quarter, no wonder Meri was in the mood to stray away from her little man Kody.
