The thing which most people will appreciate about the Alien franchise is that it always succeeded in while spinning off in different interesting directions. A lot of us loathed the creation of Alien: Resurrection and Alien 3.
However, it was welcoming to know that Blomkamp’s Alien 5 will completely ignore these films. Sadly, from the way Weaver describes it, Blomkamp’s plans for his next movie, seems like fan service, similar to how most films are made today.
Yes, you know I’m talking about the films made by Marvel. The Alien franchise should be totally different from it. Movies in this franchise might have had their shortcomings, but they were never afraid to give us something to chew on, bitter or tasty.
