Season 2 of Attack on Titan Will Release in January 2017, Eren Will Become Much Stronger In the Second Season!

Attack on Titan Season 2 has been delayed and fans are quite disappointed. This Japanese anime series has been postponed yet again. According to the latest spoilers, Ellen’s story will not be pushing out this year and it will most probably release on 2017.

Tech Time reported that Kodansha, the manga publisher earlier declared that it is impossible for season 2 to release this year. This is because the makers don’t want this anime to progress ahead of the manga. Moreover, the book publishing company in Japan doesn’t have enough manga material to support this anime.

The anime series was first introduced back in 2013 and anime fans gave it a lot of positive reviews and appreciation. If Attack on Titan Season 2 releases on 2017, Fans will have waited four years before learning about what happened to Mikasa, Armin, and Eren, while facing the enormous, man-eating Titan.

The manga storyline is what Kodansha wanted to stick to as much as possible. They did not wish to burn through original plots just in order to progress to season 2.

According to Enstarz, the manga material is enough and there is a rich storyline still hanging from the first segment. The manga four arcs are not needed by the anime before production ensues.

This is because it has already covered a lot of grounds. The present involves the last rally of Survey Corps’ against the Beast Titan along with his man-eating giants. This story will probably end in time in order to make way for the season 2 premiere of Attack on Titan.

Reports suggest that Kodansha will not release Attack on Titan Season 2 until next year and it is confirmed. During an interview with Mission Tokyo, this particular delay was confirmed by Kodansha. The publishing company further mentioned that the second installment will be released by 2017 January.

According to Kodansha, Tetsuro Araki, Attack on Titan director, is quite busy with his current project which is the notable Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress anime series. Therefore, fans have started to believe that this is the reason behind the delay of Season 2 Attack on Titan premiere.

Another reason which could be equally responsible for the delay is the lack of material. Without enough material, it will be difficult to release the second season.

Wit Studio, the series producer can make additional storylines which are different from the manga. By doing that, they can easily speed things up with Season 2. However, it seems like the producer doesn’t wish to deviate from the original storylines.
