The Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge came with the same screen size of 5.1-inch. Keeping that in mind, it looks like that Samsung has decided to do something different with the S7 series by introducing two different screen sizes for the two different models of the said series. However, there has been no official announcements from Samsung regarding the matter yet.

It was reported in another popular website that Samsung might introduce four different models for the S7 series. The site claims that two more models will make an appearance in the market along with the S7 and the S7 Edge and these are the S7+ and the S7 Edge+.

These two models will come with larger screen sizes of 6 inch compared to the 5.2 inch and 5.5-inch of the S7 and the S7 Edge.

The latest 3D renders from ITSKINS give us a fairly good idea about the looks of the upcoming devices. According to those renders, the S7 Edge and the Edge+ will come with curved screens and a flat back while their flat screen counterparts will come with a curved back.

The S7 will reportedly come with the measurements of 143.37 x 70.8 x 6.94 mm and the S7+ will have measurements of 163.32 x 82.01 x 7.82 mm.

No specific details regarding the measurements of the Edge models are available as of yet, but it is being assumed that the S7 Edge and the Edge+ will have fairly similar measurements as that of the normal S7 models.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to rock a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a Quad HD display. The screen of the device will have an impressive resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels with a pixel density of 557ppi.

The device will reportedly come with the latest Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm paired with 4GB of RAM. The Adreno 530 GPU that the device will pack will handle the graphics department with ease.

Apparently, Qualcomm has entered into some kind of deal with Samsung, which gives the South Korean tech giant an exclusive access to the Snapdragon 820 till April 2016.

Rumors are also doing rounds on the internet that the S7 might come with the Exynos 8 Octa 8890 processor which had performed quite well in a recent benchmark test in which it was put into.

Just in the recent past, the Exynos 8890 chipset was put into the AnTuTu benchmark test which it passed with flying colors. The chipset from Samsung scored a total of 103,692 points in the benchmark test which is quite a remarkable feat.

The Kirin 950 SoC from Huawei which was put in the same benchmark test was able to achieve a total score of 65,179 points.

Samsung has already started rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for a number of its devices. Keeping that in mind, it could be safely assumed that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will come with the said version of Android OS out of the box.

The S6 came without a microSD card slot, for which it was heavily criticized by users as they were not able to expand the storage space of the device using external microSD cards. Apparently, Samsung has taken notice of the situation has decided to bring back the microSD card to the S7.

The device will feature the latest USB Type-C port for the purpose of charging and data transfer.
