It has been revealed that the smartphone that Barack Obama is currently using is the Samsung Galaxy S4. When Obama became the President back in 2009, he wanted to keep using his personal BlackBerry. However, he was given another BlackBerry device that he would use during his tenure as the President of America.

The device that was issued to him was the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition. It was a highly encrypted device that ensured the secrecy of anything that was stored on it.

In his recent appearance on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show, Obama stated that he is currently using a smartphone which is heavily locked down.

He did not mention the handset that he is using, however, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the only mobile phone that is supported by the Defense Information Systems Agency. This agency is tasked with providing communication services to the White House.
