Samsung Galaxy S4: Paranoid Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Custom ROM Released, Galaxy S4 Variant Revealed On Company’s German Website!

In the meantime, the official StageFright Security OTA update for Samsung Galaxy S4 Verizon users is coming soon. The StageFright vulnerability has been fixed by the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop Update for the Verizon Galaxy S4. This bug allows attackers to steal data and take control over your Galaxy S4 once an MMS video message is opened.

The malware present in this video open a virtual hole inside your device software. The update version LRX22C.I545VRUGOF1 further makes the phone stable and introduces some fixes for bugs. Any other major features haven’t been included in this update. Keep in mind that Verizon is releasing this update in stages so you might not get it right away. A first batch of devices will start receiving the updates soon, followed by the remaining devices.

In other news, Samsung has launched a new version of the Galaxy S4 Mini which is being touted as the Galaxy S4 Mini Plus in Germany. The handset has been listed as Galaxy S4 Mini Plus on Samsung’s German Website. A pricing of EUR 239 has been reported.

Features include a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. It also has a .3-inch Super Amoled qHD display with 540×960 display resolution. The Galaxy S4 Mini Plus or the Galaxy S4 Value Edition will be available in various markets in Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Romania, and Bulgaria.
