There are certain things to remember before you proceed with the installation procedure. Keep in mind that this new version of Paranoid Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Firmware should be installed on Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 4G-LTE and only the models which have a Snapdragon chipset. If you try it on other devices, chances are that it would get bricked. You can check your device model from Settings>About Phone>Model Number.

Before you begin with the custom ROM installation, make sure that your device is properly rooted. The USB drivers should be installed on PC or else your phone might not be recognized by the computer. Use Clockwork Mod Recovery (CWM) or TWRP in order to back up all the data as the installation of custom ROM requires free memory.

Before installation, make sure that your device has at least 80% battery. If the device switches off during the process of installation, it might get bricked. Installing the custom ROM might improve the device usability and functionalities but will also void the manufacturer’s guarantee.

You should flash your device with the stock ROM in order to restore warranty. Users should proceed with caution as the following steps are highly technical and Day Herald should not be held responsible for any damages caused to your device during the installation process of this custom ROM.

Firstly, you must download Paranoid Android 5.1.1 Lollipop custom ROM and the necessary Google Apps to your PC. Now, connect your device to the PC using a USB cord. After this, put Resurrection Remix Android v5.1.1 Lollipop custom ROM zip file and Google Apps .zip file into the SD Card directory of your phone. Make sure that the zip file is pasted in the root folder and not anywhere else.

Prior to installation, the device must be rooted with Clockwork Mod Recovery Tool/TWRP installed.  Press and hold Volume Up, Home and Power Buttons in order to start the usual Recovery Mode process. Once you have entered the Recovery Mode, clear the memory by selecting wipe data/factory reset. After this, you can clear the cache memory by selecting ‘wipe cache partition’.

Select ‘advanced’ from ClockworkMod recovery and tap ‘wipe dalvik cache’. This is an optional step but it is recommended that you go through this in order to prevent any type of bootloop issues. After that, return to the main recovery screen and choose ‘install zip from SD card’.

After this, tap ‘choose zip from SD card’ and head over to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop ROM .zip file in SD card in order to begin the installation process. Use Volume keys and Power buttons to navigate and select options.

After completing the installation, go to ‘+++++Go Back+++++’ and restart your device by choosing ‘reboot system now’. The device will now take a few minutes to complete the installation process. You can confirm the installation of Paranoid Android 5.1.1 Lollipop custom ROM by going to ‘About Phone’ again.
