With the much awaited update from Google that was released last November also happens to be the most problematic one. The Lollipop 5.0 update clearly looks to be made in a haste. Initially taken and rolled out by Motorola and Nexus, the new operating system update saw a lot of bugs which disturbed the users in the most critical of situations.
Mobile companies other than Motorola and Nexus went a little more defensive when it came to rolling out the updates for its users. These companies decided to wait for Google to fix the bugs before they handed their users the new operating system.
Samsung was among one of the companies who decided to ditch the initial 5.0 update and waited for the 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 to be rolled out by Google. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Samsung Galaxy S6 already came with free Android 5.0.2 updates which would get installed the moment users started the phone and connected with Wi-Fi.
According to reports from Gotta Be Mobile, Samsung is all set to roll out Lollipop 5.1 in its other Galaxy series models as well. After a long wait it finally looks that Samsung users will have the privilege to use the new operating system from Google. The reports suggest that the models that could soon see the roll-out include Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy S5.
Off late, it is seen that Samsung is covering more and more regions to roll out the updated operating system for the Galaxy S4 users. With the updates being sent over the air in Portugal and Morocco, Samsung UK has confirmed its users that they will soon be getting the package file to update their phones to Android 5.1. Among the other regions that confirmed the update is Samsung Netherland.
