Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro Currently Under Development, to Feature a 6-inch Display and Quad-HD Resolution!

It has been less than a month since the Samsung Galaxy A9 was released in China. According to a recent report, Samsung has already started working on an advanced version of this particular device.

SamMobile, which cited reliable sources in Samsung, declared that the development of this device, codenamed, SM-A9100 has is already being developed in China.

The reports further suggest that this device will be named Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro. Till now, there is no word on the hardware specifications of this device like RAM, camera, battery, display features and others. However, according to previous Galaxy device release patterns, the A9 Pro could come with a Quad HD display with 2K screen resolution.

It will feature 4GB of RAM, 64GB of in-built storage and further come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The original Samsung Galaxy A9 model comes with a 6inch Full HD display, equipped with a fingerprint sensor, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 Octa-core SoC (System-on-Chip), 3GB RAM, 32GB in-built storage and a massive 4000 mAh battery.

In the Pro version, you can expect all of the hardware features to be significantly bumped up. Meanwhile, tipsters have already claimed that the upcoming Galaxy A9 Pro is being developed for the Chinese market. From the looks of it, the company will probably wait for a public response and then think about a possible global release.

Meanwhile, it is expected that Samsung might release the Galaxy S7 next month at Galaxy Unpacked 2016 either on 20 or 21 February ahead of MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2016 in Barcelona, Spain.

The latest batch of speculations indicates that Samsung is currently working on an upgraded version of the recently released Galaxy A9 smartphone. This particular smartphone will be launched as the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro.

This upcoming device will probably have a 6inch display but instead of a full HD resolution, it will sport a 2K screen resolution with 2560×1440 pixels. There is a Snapdragon 652 chipset under the hood and it is further coupled with 3GB of RAM.

The device has an internal storage capacity of 32GB. The entire specs of the Galaxy A9 Pro is yet to be released but it has been suggested that it will come with an enhanced chipset and further carry support for additional native storage. The device comes preloaded with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. The upgraded version of this device will come pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

There is a 13 megapixel camera on the rear portion of the Galaxy A9 and it comes with support for optical image stabilization. There is an 8 megapixel selfie camera and other specs include a fingerprint sensor, color variants like white, black, gold and pink along with a 4000mAh battery.

When it comes to the other specs of the Galaxy A9 Pro, it will feature specs that are similar to the Galaxy A9 which was only released in China. Therefore, the Galaxy A9 Pro is expected to launch only in China. It has been revealed that the South Korean Tech Giant will later reveal the A9 Pro in other markets of the world.

Samsung has received positive feedback from their latest iteration in the A series and this has prompted the company to start development on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro. According to the latest reports, the Korean tech giant is busy working on the full-fledged development of this particular device.

All sources currently point out that it will feature the same 6inch display like its base model. The device will also come with an enhanced chipset along with carry support for more native storage.  Compared to the base model, this device will come with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
