Rumors, Speculations and Updates on Upcoming Apple iPad Air 3 and 4-Inch iPhone!

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the connected KGI analyst, Apple is currently preparing for the introduction of two amazing IOS Devices for the first half of 2016. It includes the much rumored 4 inch iPhone along with a refreshed Apple iPad Air 3.

During a Sunday note to investors, the upcoming 4inch iPhone from Apple will be met with a lot of demand. This is primarily because the device’s form factor and hardware is mainly iterative. The smaller handset form factor is being revisited by Apple after they earlier shifted R&D efforts to larger-sized iPhone 6 and 6S models.

According to the latest rumors, the upcoming small-sized iPhones will bear similarity to the iPhone 5S but at the same time, it will include higher spec hardware like 12 megapixel camera and it will also include the slightly curved 2.5D cover glass featured on the iPhone 6S.

Kuo said that the 4 inch iPhone variant will not come with a lot of hardware improvements, compared to the present generation iPhone 6S and 6S Plus variants. Meanwhile, not a lot of information is available on the upcoming iPhone 7 and the iPad Air 3. According to the latest note, the refreshed 9.7inch tablet will be released during the first half of 2016.

The A8X powered iPad Air 2 was launched back in October but it sported minor hardware upgrades. Although the additions were solid, they were not good enough to slow the steeply declining sales.

This year’s flagship iPhone model has been dubbed the iPhone 7 but not a lot of information is available on it. Sadly, Kuo hasn’t been able to provide a lot of information on this particular device. It also suggests that Apple is presently working on revolutionary A-series SoC technology, battery life, camera resolution and much more.

Meanwhile, if Apple follows its standard release cycle, this year’s iPhone will come with a revamped design and according to multiple rumors, Apple is trying to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of a Bluetooth or perhaps a Lightning solution.

Some less reliable sources have suggested that it will feature wireless charging and will be waterproof as well. Kuo also talked about quarterly shipments and declared iPhone sales at 77 million for the three-month period ended in December.

Meanwhile, the rumored March announcement from Apple should bring about new Apple Watch bands and partnerships but sadly, it won’t bring any new hardware whatsoever. Watch OS 2.2 has already been reported by 9 to 5 Mac and recently a beta was launched for developers. This beta might make its way to consumers during the March event.

The new bands will be made up of new material. They will also come in colors which have not been seen before from Apple. In the meantime, the spring event from Apple is not yet clear.

The event might release a new iPad Air 3 and from the looks of it, Apple is yet to come with an official date for this event. At the moment, the expectations for new iPhones and the new iPad are pretty high.

Reports suggested that the iPad Air 3 was still under development in November 2015 but according to the latest rumors, the device could be released by March 2016. Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI Securities Analyst said last December that Apple could release the iPad Air 3 within the first half of 2016.
