It seems like fans are somewhat looking for a Resident Evil 2 remake. The entire series of Resident Evil was heavily focused on tension and survival. When you incorporate a lot of gunplay into a survival series, things not only get easy but also less-entertaining at the same time. There is a certain realism that was invoked by the earlier games of the Resident Evil franchise.
You got to experience the fact that during a zombie apocalypse situation, it’s not too easy to get your hands on ammunition all the time. There are not a lot heavy-duty machine guns lying all around you, especially after people decide to abandon the affected area.
Too many guns tend to suck out the fun out of a horror series. Stealth and survival tactics is the key to a good game. Most people don’t really prefer playing Battlefield and Call of Duty all the time.
The title was made popular among people, not because of its gun action but a lot of violence, gore, increased tension and atmosphere. The last game in the series might have fallen short of horror but the developers are ready to unleash a much tighter horror setting in the upcoming game.
The potential revival of the zombie storyline will definitely mean a lot to the fans of the game and give rise to the potential for a lot of games to be released in the future.
