‘Rihanna’ is an International pop singer and songwriter. Originating from the wonderful country of Barbados and becoming famous for singing, this performer proved to be a real star. Having started her career at the age of 16, Rihanna has a great deal of feathers in her cap including Grammy’s awards.

World star Rihanna released her first studio album back in 2005, and is known for numerous No 1 hit albums such as “Umbrella”, “Take a Bow”, “SOS”,  “Only Girl (In the World)”, “Diamonds”, and “We Found Love”.

She first started her music journey in 2003 by recording demo tapes for record producer Evan Rogers. She at last signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings subsequent to auditioning for hip hop producer Jay Z. Rihanna’s first album “Music of the Sun” and the second one “A Girl like Me” was listed in the top 10 of the US Billboard 200 and separately created the singles “SOS” and “Pon de Replay”.

Early life of Rihanna

Rihanna was born on February 20 1988, in the city Saint Michael, Barbados. Rihanna’s mother Monica is a retired accountant with a background of Black Guyanese, and her father Ronald Fenty is a warehouse supervisor. Singer Rihanna has two brothers, Rajad Fenty, Rorrey and a half-brother and two half-sisters from her father’s side, born to different mothers from his past relationships.

She experienced childhood in a three-bedroom home in Bridgetown, and sold clothes with her father in a stall in the city. Rihanna’s childhood was deeply influenced by her father’s dependence on rocks and alcohol which added to her parents’ rocky marriage. As a child, she experienced a ton of CT scans for the excruciating headaches she endured: she “even thought it was a tumor, since it was that extreme.” By the time she was at age 14, her parents had divorced and her health started to improve.

She grew up listening to music and started singing at around the age of seven. She attended Charles F. Broome Memorial Primary School and Combermere High School, where she studied with Chris Jordan, an English cricketer and Kraigg Brathwaite, a West Indies cricketer. Rihanna was an armed force cadet in a sub-military program; the singer Shontelle was her recruit instructor. In spite of the fact that she at first needed to graduate from high school, she pursued a musical career.
