Pokémon Sun and Moon Showed Off at E3 2016, A Number of Pokémon That the Games Will Feature Has Been Revealed!

Pokémon Sun and Moon are two upcoming Pokémon role-playing games that are being developed by Game Freak. The games will be published for the platforms of Nintendo 3DS by The Pokémon Company.

The latest bunch of reports regarding Pokémon Sun and Moon shed some light on one of the Pokémon that it will feature. The Pokémon in question is Zygarde. The advanced stages of this Pokémon were recently revealed during the Taiwan National Pokémon Championship event.

It was stated that during its 10 percent transformation stage, the Pokémon will take the shape of a dog. It will have black color and yellow markings on its body. The final stage of the Pokémon will see it taking the form of a Gundam robot.

It was reported that pictures of two other Pokémon that will be a part of the games were leaked by a Japanese magazine by the name of CoroCoro. These Pokémon are- Nekkoala and Iwanko.

Nekkoala has the appearance of a koala bear and it is gray in color. It has an ability that is called Definite Sleep. This ability makes the Pokémon immune to all kind of attacks except Sleep. As for Iwanko, it is a Rock-Type Pokémon. It looks like a brown puppy. Some of its abilities include- Keen Eye and Vital Spirit.

It was also stated in CoroCoro that four Pokémon in the games will be sharing a mysterious secret. The Pokémon being- Iwanko, Litten, Popplio, and Rowlet. Fans have started wondering as to what this secret could be.

Some fans are theorizing that the gameplay of Pokémon Sun and Moon will be based on alchemy. Apparently, the eyes of Litten and the markings on its forehead resemble the symbol of sulfur. The shape of Rowlet’s body resembles the symbol of salt. The heads, ears, and paws of Iwanko look similar to the symbol of lead and Popplio’s head, ears and body resemble the symbol of mercury.

It is for these very reasons that fans are speculating that alchemy is going to play a big part in the upcoming games.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 was held in Los Angeles, California, from June 14 to June 16. During this event, Nintendo came forward with an announcement that stated that the games will hit the market on November 18, 2016.

Some footage from the games was also released which provided fans with some insights into the upcoming games. The user interface has been reworked, and it has a fresh appearance. The games will arrive with a brand new battle mode. It is actually a Battle Royale multiplayer mode.

A brand new Pokémon was also revealed during the event, and it is Magearna. It is a Steel and Fairy-type Pokémon. It will have the ability of Soul-Heart. The Special Attack of the Pokémon will be raised by one each time any other Pokémon in the arena loses consciousness.

Three other Pokémon that was unveiled during the event are- Yungoos, Grubbin, and Pikipek.Yungoos is a Pokémon that resembles a mongoose in appearance. Its abilities include- Strong Jaw and Stakeout. Any Pokémon that enters the battle mid-way will be prone to the Stakeout attack which will deal twice the normal damage to the attacked Pokémon.

The Pikipek has a similar appearance to that of a woodpecker. It has a strong beak using which it can strike anything 16 times in a second. A single strike from that powerful beak can break a stone into pieces. Some of its abilities are Skill Link and Keen Eye.

As for Grubbin, it is a bug type Pokémon that loves electricity. It is often found near power plants. It can burrow into the ground and spit sticky threads from its mouth. Using these threads, the Pokémon can travel from one tree to tree.
