Chris Fox, the lead games designer of PopCap Games revealed that the tremendous success of Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 1 had encouraged them to do even more with its successor, the Garden Warfare 2. He stated that the developers have incorporated bigger and better worlds in Garden Warfare 2 compared to its predecessor.

He further added that the game will come with a total of 12 maps, 8 different game modes and 6 brand new character classes. Compared to Garden Warfare 1, the upcoming game will consist of 40 new variants.

PopCap, recently provided some insights regarding the upcoming game. It was reported that players will earn XP whenever they are playing the game, irrespective of the mode they are playing. XP earned by one particular character will be exclusive to that character only. In other words, each of the character will have the capability to earn XP individually.

As a player advances in the game with a particular character, more and more upgrades will be unlocked for it and these upgrades can be used by players to customize that character.

Each of the characters will level up gradually as the game progresses. The highest level for each character is 10. After a character has reached the max level, a player can choose to promote it in the stats room. Each character can be promoted five times. This will result in the character’s level being reset to 1.

The character will then acquire a new title and a new plaque. A tombstone will feature all the accomplishments of the player with that character.

The Quest Board placed in the Backyard battleground can be used by players to access a number of different quests. These Quests when competed successfully give away experience points.

Thus these Quests can be utilized by payers to level up their characters within the game. Successful completion of Quests also rewards players with experience multiplier which helps speed up the leveling up process.
