Various rumors have already started building up regarding the next iteration of Pitch Perfect movie which is the Pitch Perfect 3. It was recently reported that the production crew of the upcoming movie are about to begin its filming and it will hit the big screen on August 7, 2017.
Rebel Wilson who played the role of Fat Amy in the previous movies is set to reprise her role in the upcoming movie. Her performance in the previous iterations of Pitch Perfect was highly praised by both fans and critics.
Last November she made an appearance on the “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and it was here that she stated that Pitch Perfect 3 will begin its production process by early 2016. It has come to the forefront that initially, the filmmakers had decided to release the movie at an earlier date of July 21, 2016. However, some production glitches with Pacific Rim 2 forced them to push its release date back to August 7.
Pitch Perfect 3 will be directed by Elizabeth Banks and she will also be one of the producers of the movie. the other producers of the movie are, Alex Handelman of Brownstone Productions and Paul Brooks of Circle Entertainment.
Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow who dawned the characters of Beca Mitchell and Chloe Beale respectively in the previous films are back on board to reprise their roles in Pitch Perfect 3.
The script for the previous two movies were written by Kay Cannon and she will once again pick up the pen to write the script for the third movie of the franchise.
As for the story, it is being rumored that Fat Amy might be seen tying the knots with lover Bumper in the upcoming movie. The character of Bumper has been played by Adam DeVine in the previous Pitch Perfect movies.
The duo was seen re-igniting their love for each other in the previous movie and fans are speculating that the third movie might see them walking down the aisle. Their rekindled love was heavily praised by fans and thus it can be assumed that their marriage will definitely bring joy to a lot of fans.
The rumor was further fueled by Banks when she stated that it is likely that the filmmakers make the upcoming movie by keeping in mind the reaction of fans for the second movie.
It is also being rumored that the character of Beca Mitchell, played by Anna Kendrick will cease to be the Queen Bee of Barden Bellas in the upcoming movie. Emily, played by Hailee Steinfeld is being pitched as the possible replacement of Beca as Queen Bee of the group.
Steinfeld’s character of Emily Junk has been a popular one among fans and the popularity of the character further grew when she managed to break out from the shadows of her mother to emerge as a confident performer.
Beca will reportedly decide to prove her mettle outside the perimeters of her college by forming her own group and taking part in competitions at international level. As for Emily, she will be seen becoming the leader of a new generation of Barden Bellas.
Some other actors to feature in the upcoming movie include, Ester Dean as Cynthia Rose, Anna Camp in the role of Aubrey, Alexis Knapp as Stacie, Hana Mae Lee as Lily, John Michael Higgins as John, Elizabeth Banks as Gail and Skylar Astin as Jesse.
In other new, in a recent announcement, Skylar Astin and Anna Camp stated that they were engaged to each other. The couple has been in a relation for quite some time and reports state that Skylar Astin finally popped the question to Anna Camp over the new year.
She accepted his proposal and they announced the news over Instagram and even posted a photo of them together in which Anna can be seen wearing the engagement ring.
