John Reese, the character portrayed by actor Jim Caviezel will be quite focused in the upcoming season. Caviezel himself stated that the episode from the last season which featured Carter’s death will bring out certain feelings from within John Reese and the way in which he deals with those feelings in the upcoming season will play an important role in bringing together the whole team.
Amy Acker who plays Root in the show was recently spotted at the first-ever Comic Expo of New Jersey. She was seen signing autographs for fans at the event while meeting and greeting them and other prominent personalities present at the show.
As for her character, the argument of Finch and Root is expected to continue regarding The Machine in the 5th season. The matter of methods and procedures for rebuilding of The Machine has been a debatable issue for the two since previous seasons.
Apart from bickering about the Machine the duo will also be seen working closely and reportedly she is going to provide a lot of help to Finch while occasionally creating various problems for him too.
Finch might decide to resurrect The Machine and let it fend for itself by doing away with some of the safeguards that were originally installed by him on it. The 5th season will reportedly showcase in detail the early stages of development of The Machine and how Finch is going to act as a mentor to it.
