Oneplus One: Quick Look At The Specs, Set To Receive Android Marshmallow Update!

The OnePlus company was founded in December 2013 with the target of introducing the OnePlus One smartphone into the market. It could be safely stated that the company has been quite successful in its quest as the smartphone, since its introduction has been able to hold its own in a fiercely competitive smartphone market.

The developers in the OnePlus company aimed at providing users with a brand new smartphone that will cater to all their needs and still be within their reach financially. The OnePlus brand quickly became a well known one due to its innovative marketing procedures.

The company took on an interactive marketing procedure to promote the OnePlus one in the market. It takes to social media and their official forums for interacting with users about the device and collecting valuable feedbacks in the process. These feedbacks help them to better understand the requirements of the users and bring forward changes in the device if they feel it necessary.

The company makes announcements about new and upcoming features through these interactions and also notifies fans about any special offers or deals that may be coming up in the future, any new devices that maybe headed towards them and also about other things as the company deems necessary.

This close touch with the fans has resulted in a better exposure of the device boosting its sales in the process.

The OnePlus One was released more than a year ago and the company has brought forward two brand new models of smartphones—The OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X, which will safely take forward the company’s legacy into the next year.

The OnePlus One came with an aristocratic look with a 5.5 inches large screen with IPS LCD display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.  Though it feels a bit big in the hand, users will get used to its size after a little amount of usage. The phone has a thickness of mere 8.9 mm and has a weight of 162g.

Though the device does not come with a QHD resolution like some of its competitors in the market, display is sharp and radiant in the device. The display has an excellent color recalibration which makes everything look great on the screen. Overall, the device sports quite an awesome display compared to its moderate price tag.

On the inside the phone has a Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.5GHz processor along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The phone runs softwares and games without a hiccup and handles multitasking quite well.

The device features a 13 megapixel rear camera along with a 5 megapixel snapper on its front. The rear camera turns out images with amazingly high resolutions in the daylight. Though low light photography is not a boast-able feature of the device, the camera provides with decent quality images under low light.

It comes with the capability to record videos of resolution 2160p at 30fps, 2160p at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps and 720p at 120fps.

The camera comes along with the usual basic features like the panaroma mode, creative filters and the HDR.

It should be noted that there is scope for considerable improvement when the device’s front camera is in question. Images captured with the selfie camera turns out to be a little under saturated in aspect of color.

The device is 4G LTE compatible and has a 3100mAh battery which has enough juice in it to last through the day and provide a video playback time of 11 hours.

The OnePlus One runs on the CyanogenMod, an open source community version of Android.

It was recently announced by OnePlus in its official forum that their OnePlus One smartphone along with the OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus X will be getting an Android Marshmallow upgrade.

The OnePlus One will be first among the three samrtphones from OnePlus to receive the Android 6.0 upgrade.
