This time, things were no different with Mario Kart 8 since Nintendo UK had been teasing the fans about what they can expect and the developers ended up tweeting a photo of the Kalimari Desert that asks the fans to wait, for those who expect to have good things come their way.

The Twitter post of the Kalimari Desert has got the fans of Mario Kart 8 excited since they feel that the new DLC will feature the desert. The speculation on Mario Kart 8 having the Kalimari Desert is on the rise since the recently concluded; E3 had Nintendo talk about the Desert in Mario Kart 64. The Kalimari Desert was also introduced for 3DS on Mario Kart 7.

Mario Kart 8 has had three DLCs so far, and each of them has been much appreciated by the players. The best thing about the Mario Kart 8 DLCs is that they offer a lot of additional features and gameplay at a reasonable price. The fans had first thought that Nintendo will not release any more DLCs for Mario Kart 8 after the Animal Crossing x Mario Kart 8, but then they had a surprise waiting for them.

The game is already pretty expensive, and hence the fans were happy to have no more updates for Mario Kart 8 since they felt that the developers will be working on other Mario Kart games. However, since the recently concluded E3, there has been a buzz that Nintendo is planning on another expansive DLC for Mario Kart 8, and then the tweet from Nintendo UK sealed the deal.

The latest DLC as reported by Christian Daily is expected to include some new vehicles, tracks, and features. Since the previous DLCs, Mercedes Benz x Mario Kart 8 and The Legend of Zelda x Mario Kart 8 were pretty extensive, fans are sure that the upcoming DLC is going to pack more than just the Kalimari Desert feature.

According to The Christian Today, several photos on Nintendo UK’s page shows Wario and Toda being hit by trains from screenshots pulled from Mario Kart 64. The 1996 game screenshot deals with the Kalimari Desert, and it is believed that the new DLC will include quite a few of the features from the old game into the upcoming DLC for Mario Kart 8.
