There has been a sudden increase in white police brutalities all across the USA. On Tuesday a video was released, which showed two white officers holding down and shooting the latest victim, Alton Sterling. Beyoncé and Jay-Z have always been very vocal about the police shooting and brutality, and they have faced a lot of criticism for the same in the past. However, that hasn’t stopped when from releasing statements and coming out to support the cause.
Jay-Z recently released a song about the shooting. Titled Spiritual, the song talks about his disappointment for America. The lyrics of the song are hard-hitting and powerful. Beyoncé might not have released a song for the recent killing, but she did hold a minute of silence to pray for the victim while she was performing at Glasgow.
Apart from Jay-Z and Beyoncé, singers like Drake, Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake and Olivia Wilde, all of them have come out to voice their opinion on the unpleasant incident that has rocked America.
Nicki Minaj alluded to Malcolm X, an African-American rights activist, who had spoken up about police brutality. He had blamed white America for numerous crimes against the black community and was believed to have spread racism and violence. Keeping in line with this, it was seen that several white officers were being killed by the blacks.
This has further questioned the justice system and humanity at large since killing white lives for the crimes committed against the black community is not the answer to the grave situation at hand. The problem needs to be sorted out in a different light. Numerous celebrities are coming out to make sure that the whole issue doesn’t become a race war.

Nicki Minaj denied all the charges and said that it was Samuel’s way of getting back at her, for refusing him the lifestyle that he had gotten comfortable with. Minaj had been dating for Samuels for almost 12 years, before they broke up in August 2014.
