Mr. Robot Season 2 to Release in July, Set to Pick Up the Storyline from the End of the First Season, And More

The first season of Mr. Robot had seen a lot of success since it came out with a plot based on cyber-crimes right around the time of the Sony hack. The second season as Sam Esmail reveals, will also be about cyber-crime and will be as interesting as the first one. Keeping the basic premise same, the series is going to deal with data encryption and privacy, as reported by Variety.

Mr. Robot will show the consequences of hacking into ECorp and will bring back the original actors, Gloria Reuben, Michel Gill, BD Wond, Sunita Mani, Michael Drayer, Ron Cephas Jones, Ben Rappaport and Azhar Khan. Mr. Robot Season 2 will include some new guest stars like Joey Bada$$, Luke Robertson, Sandrine Holt, Craig Robinson, Dorothi Fox and Michael Maize.

Mr. Robot has been one of the top series on the USA network. The show enjoys a great following and has also become one of the series to bring about a makeover to the network after almost ten years. In the very first season, Mr. Robot went on to get nominations at the SAG and Golden Globe and Christian Slater even went on to win the trophy for the Best Supporting Actor.

With the growing focus and awareness on cyber-crime, the issue that Mr. Robot deals with hits right at home. With a series that is so closely related to the real occurrences in the cyber world, the creative team has to be doubly sure that each and every nuances have been dealt with in the proper manner.
