Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2 DLC Will Be Coming with Four New Characters and New Content in First Half Of 2016, More Information

Published by Warner Bros. Interactive and developed by NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat X is the tenth title in the Mortal Kombat franchise.

New details have emerged on Mortal Kombat X which suggests the possible release date of the next DLC, the addition of four different fighters along with Classic and Jurassic Mode stages in the upcoming Kombat Pack 2.

On the early months of 2016, people will be able to experience the upcoming Kombat Pack 2 DLC on various platforms like PS4, Xbox One, and PC. According to Ed Boon’s tease, Kombat Pack 2 will contain 4 distinct fighters, similar to that of the first Kombat Pack DLC.

According to speculations from various Kombat fans all over the world, we might get to see new characters like Baraka, Night Wolf, Smoke, Sindel, Noob Saibot, Bo’Rai Cho, Fujin, Cyrax, Sektor and Kabal in the upcoming Kombat Pack 2 DLC.

These are the names that were introduced in the main storyline of the game, but they were not included as playable fighters.

Some of the possible guest characters which could be included in the franchise are Spawn, Terminator, Ghost Face, Alien, Michael Meyers, Ash Williams, Indiana Jones, Neo, The Joker, Marcus Fenix, and Rorschach, according to Realty Today. There were 4 characters featured in the first DLC of Kombat.

They are Tremor, Jason Voorhees, Tanya, and the Predator. Several characters also received additional costumes like Johnny Cage, Cano, Sonya Blade, Sub-Zero and Scorpion.  There will be a unique set of features added in Kombat Pack 2 DLC and it will bring back classic game levels from previous titles like ‘The Pit’.

Rumors heavily indicate that it could be included in the Kombat Pack 2 DLC. There will also be a new game mode called Jurassic Mode where dinosaurs will be featured killing each other. Recently, it was announced that 5 million units of Mortal Kombat X were sold worldwide along with Batman Arkham Knight.

In the meantime, it seems like Warner Bros. Interactive has been doing pretty good for quite some time, with Rocksteady Games’ Open-World Action Title, Batman Arkham Knight and Mortal Kombat X from NetherRealm Studios. Thanks to these major hits, in the past few years, the studio managed to reach the top in an easy manner.

A report from Wall Street Journal confirms that each of them sold 5 million units each, all over the world. However, compared to that, the film part of Warner Bros. hasn’t been that successful recently and suffered a rather less-lucrative session in 2015.

There was a lot of critical acclaim from fans waiting for Mortal Kombat X and Batman Arkham Knight. Sadly, Arkham Knight suffered from a disturbing PC launch which resulted in quite a stir, earlier this year. As a result, Warner Bros. had to pull the game from sale in order to fix the performance problems associated with this title.

Meanwhile, rumors indicate that some non-combatants will be making their way to Mortal Kombat X. It was further confirmed by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment that the Game Studio is currently developing the Kombat Pack 2 DLC.

With the new DLC coming with new characters, lots of new styles and environments, players are unsurprisingly quite interested and excited about it. GameSpot further revealed that the upcoming Kombat Pack 2 is actually loosely based on the Kombat Pack 1 but comes with the addition of new skins as well as players.

However, the new characters have not been revealed yet. NetherRealm Studios has the option of picking up from a wide variety of characters. In the meantime, Ed Boon decided not to discourage fans by releasing a new shadowed picture in Twitter, showcasing the 4 new characters. He released it with a rather tantalizing caption that reads, “Who’s next?”
