Microsoft Surface Pro 4: Release on the Cards, Microsoft Planning To Increase Surface Pro Certified Distributors, And More

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is going to release soon and people are wondering if Apple users will finally try out this highly-anticipated tablet from Microsoft. Reports suggest that this device will come loaded with features and hardware, which makes even more superior than the Surface Pro 3.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will come out in 12-inch and 14-inch variants and loaded with essential features, making it the perfect next-generation tablet. If you are concerned about performance, know that the Surface Pro 4 will come equipped with quad-core Intel Core i5 or i7 Skylake Processor from along with 4GB of RAM.

In terms of storage, the device will come with hold up to 1 TB with accessories which include a keyboard that converts the device into a veritable laptop along with a surface pen. If the current rumors hold true, the Surface Pro 4 could release by the end of this month and probably release along with Windows 10 OS.

The Apple Macbook Air 2016 will be introduced in October but will be available much later in March 2016. The Macbook Air will run on the same Intel Skylake processor and feature a thinner design. However, the cost is brought down due to a compromise in the area of resolution. It is expected that the display resolution will be lower than 2304×1440 pixels.

Besides this, the Macbook Air will further include Apple’s patented Retina Display, a USB 3.0 Port and VGA/HDMI capabilities. The people who acquire Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will have to get the keyboard accessory separately. Sadly, this will bump up the device’s cost to $2000. Compared to that, the Apple Macbook Air will include the keyboard as it always did before. The price will be high but at the same time, it will be cheaper than the Surface Pro 4.

However, it all depends on customer requirements as to what they are looking for. If you consider the price, the Macbook Air is a better choice; however, potential buyers will have to wait a little longer since it will be out by the first quarter of 2016.  In the meantime, Microsoft started talking about the Microsoft Surface and Surface Pro lineup but it may not be what fans were hoping for. Keep in mind that this is not an announcement for Microsoft Surface Pro 4 but it most probably indicates that the device will release soon.

It is of no doubt that Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 laptop/tablet hybrid is one of the most anticipated products of 2015. People presume that the Surface Pro 4 will be announced during the first week of July and it will appear in stores by the end of this month. There hasn’t been any official confirmation on its release date but it is expected that the device will release in stores by the end of this month. WinBeta recently reported that none of the rumors should be trusted right now and the Surface Pro 4 might not even release by the end of this month.

Right now, the Surface Pro 3 is selling really well and its successor might not release anytime soon. When Microsoft launched the Surface Pro lineup, it was considered to be a joke. However, within two years, the devices proved that they are here to stay. In the beginning, the Surface Pro 1 and Pro 2 were mainly laughed at due to their thick, heavy demeanor and poor battery life.

However, things changed drastically when the Surface Pro 3 was launched in June 2014. In the meantime, Microsoft is trying to make Surface Pro more widely available than before. The Redmondian Giant declared their plans to increase their marketing efforts for the Surface Pro lineup at their Worldwide Partner Conference.

Till now, the product was only available through certain certified distributors according to General Manager of Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Program, Gavriella Schuster. According to Schuster, Microsoft is planning to increase the number of certified distributors to a few thousand but the exact figures were not disclosed.
