Rumors indicate that the new Microsoft Lumia 850 will replace the Lumia 830 that was released back in 2014. However, Microsoft is yet to issue an official confirmation regarding this rumor. According to some reports, the device will make its debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2016) which is held in Barcelona.
This particular event will be held from 22nd to 25th February. Ever since July 2015, people have been talking about the Lumia 850. Back then, it was believed that this device would release alongside the Lumia 550.
The latter has been in the market since late last year. However, it has been claimed that the 850 will be launched in the first quarters of 2016, along with the Lumia 650. The Microsoft Lumia 850 and the 650 will be unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2016 event which will take place at Barcelona, Spain. Reports regarding 650 and 850 have already surfaced while the 750 has been found receiving certification in China.
According to Ithome, the device with model number RM-1182 has passed 3C certification in China. It has been revealed that the mentioned device is Lumia 850 but this report will be taken with a grain of salt as well. In the meantime, alleged photos of the device have recently leaked online and it further hinted some features that came with it.
According to the latest rumors, the device will come with a 5.4inch full-HD display and it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and will further include an Adreno 405GPU.
At the same time, it will have a front-facing LED flash and if this turns out to be true, the Lumia 850 will be first device to sport such a feature. The rear camera is 10 megapixels while the front facing camera is a 5MP snapper.
Meanwhile, the Lumia 850 is expected to have 16GB of internal storage, support for CAT 7 LTE and a 2650mAh battery. It has been speculated that the device will come with different color options which include gold, white, black and dark silver.
At the same time, Microsoft still remains tight-lipped regarding growing rumors of this device. Tech enthusiasts and Windows fans will have to wait until a confirmation is released. The past reports indicate that Microsoft is presently working on two different Lumia devices. The upcoming Lumia 650 is a mid-ranger and the 850 will be a high-end device.
Meanwhile, a new report from China has revealed that a device called Microsoft Lumia 650XL will be released. It will have a 5.4inch display and 720p display resolution. The image revealed the 650XL with the Lumia 1520 by its side.
The photo clearly shows that the upcoming device will have a mega display around 5.4 inches. One shouldn’t forget the earlier 5.0inch Lumia 640 came with a gigantic variant called the Lumia 640XL, which sported a 5.7inch display. Therefore, there is a good possibility that Microsoft is presently working on a bigger device.
According to the Baidu post, the 650XL will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon’s 210 or 212 chipset processor. This is actually the same as the speculated Lumia 650. According to a Nokia Power User report, the upcoming device will feature an LED Flash.
GSM Arena earlier revealed that the live photo of the 650XL looks similar to the Lumia 850 which was leaked earlier. The single speaker, which can be seen located above the front panel, has a logo, with 850 written all over it. Meanwhile, the 650’s speaker is pushed to the edge of the front panel, as reported through earlier leaks.
