Metal Gear Solid V the Phantom Pain: DLC for Metal Gear Online Headed Towards the Fans!

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was released by Konami back in September 2015. It is an open world action-adventure stealth video game that has been developed by Kojima Productions. It has been directed by Hideo Kojima. Hideo Kojima has not only directed the game but has also designed, co-written and co-produced it.

News regarding an upcoming DLC has been doing rounds on the internet for quite some time now. This upcoming expansion pack has been titled Cloaked in Silence. This is actually a DLC for the online mode of the game which is the Metal Gear Online.

The latest reports state that this new expansion pack will bring a brand new character to the game called Quiet. Quiet is actually a female character with more than impressive sniping capabilities. This character will become playable in the multiplayer mode of the game after the application of the update.

Players will be able to use this character to take down unsuspecting enemies from a distance using her signature butterfly sniper rifle. She will possess a special cloaking ability which will allow her to become temporarily invisible, thus giving the her an upper hand against enemies.

After installing the update, players will have the freedom to choose from a list of Unique characters that will include Snake, Ocelot or Quiet. Quiet will be seen sporting her trademark outfit in the game.

Apart from this new character, the expansion pack will also bring forth three brand new maps which are- Coral Complex, Rust Palace and Azure Mountain. Four new Appeal Actions are also headed towards fans through the upcoming update. Appeal Actions are basically combinable animations for the character of the game.

Using this appeal packs, players will be able to acquire various poses and moves for the characters within the game. The Appeal Action packs that will come with the Cloaked in Silence DLC include- the Battle Appeal Pack, The Basic Appeal Pack, The Hero Appeal Pack and the Dance Appeal Pack.

As for the brand new maps, it was reported that the Coral Complex map will feature some tall towers and storage containers alongside vast open spaces. Other hiding places will also be found by players within the map. The tall towers and ample hiding places will make the map perfect for sniping.

The Azure Mountain map will feature an African outdoor plain with a massive rock that is called the Cradle of Spirits by the locals. The rock will be surrounded by some buildings and scrublands. Players should not look forward to getting much hiding spaces in this map.

The Rust Palace is a map that is set in the country of Afghanistan. A large building with multiple levels will be the centerpiece of this map. Players will be able to use the high building for the purpose of sniping on enemies.

The developers have not come forward with a specific release date for the upcoming DLC but it has been confirmed that it will be made available sometime during the next month. It will come with a price tag of $4. Each of the Appeal Action Packs will come with a price of $2.

The developers will release another free update on the same day on which the Cloaked in Silence DLC is released. This free update will bring forth a new competitive mission which will be called Sabotage.

Konami recently provided some insights regarding this new mission. It stated that in this new mission, players will be tasked with destroying an enemy missile before the expiration of the round. The missile will be protected by the defenders who would try to do anything to prevent the attackers from destroying the missile.
