Married At First Sight Season 3: Third Season in Doubt, Spin-Off to Have a Second Season, Trailer Revealed on Facebook, And More

Married at First Sight brings in a very new concept to reality television. It shows how an expert panel of psychologists and relationship counselors can pair up to people who are scientifically perfect for each other and get them to marry each other.

This social experiment is spearheaded by Dr. Logan Levkoff, Dr. Joseph Cilona and Dr. Pepper Schwartz. They have gone to a huge pile of interested contestants, have interviewed and placed each of them through series of complex tests that are employed by the FBI to find out which of them are compatible to each other.

The first season of Married at First Sight showed how the couples Doug Hehner and Jamie Otis, Jason Carrion and Cortney Hendrix were patched up and married off by the show.

The concept of bringing two complete strangers together for the very first time on the day of their wedding is a big challenge. While the first season of Married at First Sight was a success, the second season was an epic fail.

The couples Davina Kullar and Sean Varricchio ended her marriage even before the season could end, but Christian Post has reported that unlike many other couples, these two have remained friends and Kullar reportedly said that they have reached a comfort zone where they can have fun with each other.

Given that fact that most of the couples have decided to head for a divorce after the end of the compulsory duration of six months is over in the show, there have been a lot of backlashes that the show has had to face, one being that it is making the institution of marriage a joke and a ball game.

Viewers had been very critical about the show after the failure of the marriages and hence the show creators decided to stall the third season of Married at First Sight and go ahead with the First Year series to show that there have been successful marriages as well.

Married at First Sight: The First year will take the viewers through the first year of marriage of the selected couples. Show them experiencing events like birthdays and anniversaries and bonding with their in laws.

It will show the ups and downs of married life while at the same time highlighting how the couples have struggled to keep their relationship afloat. With the couples facing some crisis in their relationships, the expert panel of counselors will also help the couples out in tackling the problems in their marital life.

With Married at First Sight Season 3 doubtful, there is report that the spin-off of the original series is likely to be renewed for a new season. Married at First Sight: The First Year Season 2 is soon going to hit the television screen.

The season will take the two couples who have remained married from Married at First Sight Season 1, Jamie Otis and Dough Hehner and Cortney Hendrix and Jason Carrion. The official trailer for the show has been uploaded on the Facebook page.

The trailer shows Jason telling Cortney and now it his turn to be there with her just like she has been there for him. Doug looks at the camera and confesses that he is ready for the adventure while Jamie questions if they are really happy. Cortney ends the clip with the statement that the honeymoon isn’t over unless the two people in the marriage decide that it is so.
